Today is World Stroke Day and the launch of the 1:6 campaign.  WSO members and partners around the world are joining in solidarity to put forth a simple life-saving message Today. This post is to show support for the campaign by raising awareness of stroke.

A stroke is a cerebral vascular acccident.

Stroke is a cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of deaths worldwide. Strokes are also preventable, which means there are premature deaths due to strokes.
A stroke can also leave the person with a severe disability affecting their quality of life.
